About Us

More than a gym — we're family.

Welcome to Rockbridge Rock Steady Boxing, your local chapter of the Rock Steady Boxing® program right here in Lexington, Virginia. We know that a Parkinson's diagnosis can feel overwhelming, and you might be wondering if there's anything that can truly help.

The answer is a resounding yes — and we can't wait to show you how. Our classes combine high-intensity boxing drills with functional movements, all tailored to the unique needs of people with Parkinson's. It's not about throwing punches at anyone. It's about throwing punches forward — toward better balance, sharper focus, and stronger confidence.

Whether you're newly diagnosed or have been on this journey for years, you'll find a welcoming space where everyone is cheering you on. No one judges you here — we all show up as we are, and that's exactly how it should be.

Our Program

What happens in a class?

Each 60-minute session is carefully designed to challenge your body and mind without any contact. Here's a peek at what you can expect:

Warm-Up

We start gentle with dynamic stretches and mobility work. Your coaches will help you find your range of motion and get the blood flowing.

Boxing Drills

Shadow boxing, heavy bag work, and partner drills — all non-contact. You'll work on combinations, footwork, and coordination at your own pace.

Cool Down

We always finish with stretching and a moment to connect. It's the perfect chance to share a laugh and celebrate how far you came together.
